What is it: A pen stand, handmade by a friendly guy named Mike Dudek. This particular flavor holds a notebook and 7 pens. It’s been living on my desk at work, and it’s really happy at its new home. Together with Dudek Modern Goods, we are giving away a brand new stand. Read the review and check out how to enter at the bottom of this post!

Where you can get it: Want to guarantee holiday delivery? You can snag one of these stands right now over at Dudek Modern Goods for $69. Save an additional 10% on your order using the code “EDSENTME”.

dudek-modern-goods-the-stationer-review-gaw-4Notes: I’m always impressed by Mike’s work. The finishing is great, the holes are precisely drilled, and the designs just plain work. The Stationer is no exception. It holds 7 pens or pencils and a notebook. It’s ideal for a desk, as it keeps pens neatly organized and a notebook out of the way until it’s needed. The notebook makes a great backdrop for the pens being displayed too. Each block is crafted from walnut wood and lightly finished. This keeps the woodgrain and natural beauty front and center. dudek-modern-goods-the-stationer-review-gaw-5The bottom of the block has felt feet and the DMG logo burned into the bottom. The piece really adds some class to a desk and fits in well with both modern and traditional decor. I’m happy to have one on my desk, and you will be too!

Disclaimer: Oh my goodness, how did I forget a disclaimer!? I’m not making money off this, and Mike at DMG is giving this away for free. He’s a good dude. His last name is Dudek. Coincidence? I think not. Yes, I got to keep one for my desk, and to take photos of but let’s be real, this is more of a giveaway than a review.

  1. I’ve had a block sitting in my desk for a long while now. It’s simple and beautiful and goes perfectly with the MCM look of the rest of my house.

  2. Personally I like the daily as it keeps me from inking a ton of pens all at once and then taking months to go through any of them!

  3. Quite simple while beautiful and useful. Having the notebook with the pens is a nice way to save some place on an overcrowded desk.

  4. I can’t think of a better way to keep my notebook and pens handy while keeping my desk tidy and organized. I think this is the perfect Dudek product for me.

  5. Well, Mr Mike Dudek doesn’t make it easy to pick one favorite pen stand. Right now I’m leaning toward both “The Display” and “The Stationer,” but you asked for one. If I owned any pocket notebooks my choice would be different, but since that is not the case, I’m going with “The Display.” Honestly, “The Stationer” is an extremely close next, but the difference is hardly noticeable. I would be pleased with either one of these fine pieces of functional art.

  6. If I had to pick just one, The Planter is probably my favorite. It holds a good number of pens/pencils and also brings a little nature to the desk.

  7. I really like “The Planter”. I’ve recently added a few easy-to-maintain plants to my desk, and been looking for a pen stand like these. My cubicle was recently reduced by 25% (all of our cubicles were, so the state government could shoehorn more people into our area) so space is at a premium, and the Planter would be classy way to add green and wood and pens to my workspace. Going on my Christmas List!

  8. My house is full of notebooks, pens of all types, and several pieces of contemporary walnut furniture, so this gorgeous piece would have loads of fine friends! I love all of Mr. Dudek’s goods. My current crush is The Stationer.
