  1. vintage onion skin.. almost non-exhistant, tomoe very up there on favorite chart, fun giveaway thanks!..

  2. My favorite paper at the moment is MD Paper, but Franklin-Christoph’s bamboo paper makes a strong argument.

  3. 68 GSM Tomoe River in my Hippo Noto usually, but I haven’t experimented beyond that. Excited to try these!

  4. I suppose it depends on what my intended use is. I do like Tomoe River for personal use, but if I’m using it for work (notes, etc), I typically use Rhodia lined paper. Thanks for the opportunity!

  5. Whatever paper Story Supply Company uses in their pocket and A5 notebooks. It handles pens, pencils, felt-tips, roller balls; everything just works well in them.

  6. My favourite paper at the moment is the one used in the ClaireFontaine notebooks.
    Greeting from Italy!
    Davide

  7. I recently got an Apica CD notebook and was pretty impressed by the paper. Some of the slicker paper like Rhodia has had a weird effect on certain pens I use, but the paper in Apica’s notebook was just so smooth, without being tooooo smooth.

  8. That looks like a nice notebook with a future favorite… but my honest favorite daily use paperis whatever is in the Black n Red notebooks (distributed by mead in the US but I think it’s a different company…). I love them, and they’re inexpensive.

  9. I’ve loved Tomoe River whenever I’ve used it, but whatever they’re using in the cheap Cambridge City notebooks actually handles fountain pen ink very well, so that’s my go to for office paper.

  10. That’s a great question. Right now I’m really enjoying my nanami cafe note A6 as my daily journal. Secondly, believe it or not, would be my less than a dollar notebook bought at Walmart. It’s made in India and is very fountain pen friendly.

  11. At the moment my favourite paper is the college notepad paper by Clairefontaine, it is so smooth to write on with any fountain pen I use. 🙂

  12. I have just started out in the world of fountain pens and the only paper I have tried is a Rhodia notebook and an awesome unnamed notebook with gridded paper I picked up while on holiday in Borneo

  13. Tomoe River, and Oxford paper for daily use (because it’s the only cheaper one readily available in local stores)

  14. I love Tomoe River. It’s my favorite so far. I’m excited to try a light watercolor wash on this paper.

  15. I haven’t had a chance to try Tomoe River or other really nice paper yet, but would very much like to! For now, I’ve been really impressed with the amount of sheen that shows up on my Canson Universal Sketch spiral bound sketchbook 🙂

  16. I love Tomoe paper, but also a second but probably not popular favorite is thin bible paper. Just feels good writing on it with a pencil.
