PSA: Tactile Turn Gist Has 1 Day Left!

Tactile Turn Gist Fountain Pen-1

Only One Day Left!

I just wanted to give you guys a heads up, there’s only one day left on the Kickstarter campaign for the Tactile Turn Gist. This is definitely one of my favorite pens that has come out recently. You can check out my full review of the pen here.  This pen brings something new to the market, yet oddly familiar. I’ve been carrying the pen in my pocket, next to a Tactile Turn Shaker, and it’s held up well to abuse. I haven’t been overly careful with it, and it still looks as it did on day one. I can definitely say I’m a fan. After shooting the product photos for the campaign, I immediately backed it for a brass grip/finial model with a steel nib, in addition to the titanium grip/finial model with titanium nib I have on hand. If you’ve been on the fence about it, might as well snag one now before the prices shoot up to retail after the campaign ends. Did you already back the project? Let me know which combo in the comments below!

  1. Yes I have backed this after reading a couple of reviews. I’ve chosen an option with the brass section and polycarbonate body. .. SBRE Brown’s review is particularly detailed … it was Gourmet Pens that triggered the search on Kickstarter… happy with the choice made and wishing them the very best…

  2. I love Will’s style sense, and already have a blue Mover, so I’ve backed (and spent way more than originally intended). The various reviews help because they show (in pictures and words) different aspects of the pens.

My favorites are brass, zirconium, and damascus, but since I can’t afford all three I’ve selected poly with brass finial & grip, poly with damascus finial and grip, and an extra Zirconium grip. Nibs will be steel EF, M, and an extra stub. For myself, I decided Ti or Au nibs are not worth the significant extra premium.

  3. I went the cheapskate’s route – all polycarbonate body and grip section – then decided to add an extra stainless steel grip, in case the pen feels insufficiently weighted without it. Looks like a great pen – and I appreciated your review!

  4. I went for the complete polycarbonate body with a titanium nib. I also bought a titanium grip section so I can swap out the sections. 🙂
